Starting February 14, 2024, all international travelers must pay a Bali Tourist Tax of IDR 150,000. Payment can be made online or upon arrival at the airport.
Complete the online customs declaration form within two days before arrival or at the airport using free WiFi (network: NgurahRai). At the end of the process, youll receive a QR code to present to customs officers after collecting your luggage.
Visa Exemption Arrangement (VEA): Allows a 30-day, non-renewable stay for eligible countries.
Visa on Arrival (VOA): Valid for 30 days, renewable for an additional 30 days. Apply for an e-VOA online 14 days to 48 hours before travel to skip queues.
For countries not on the VEA/VOA list, apply for a visa at an Indonesian embassy before arrival.
Special queues are available for passengers with children under 5 or individuals over 60. Check signage for the current location of these queues.
Complete the immigration arrival form on the plane. Keep it with your passport and boarding pass for presentation at immigration. Forms may not always be available in the arrivals hall, so prepare in advance.
Expect a wait of 20 minutes to an hour for luggage. Oversized luggage (e.g., surfboards, bikes) will be at the entry end of the carousel. Fill out your customs form while waiting for your bags.
Present your customs declaration form at the checkpoint. Luggage may be inspected via X-ray or manually. Alcohol over the limit (1 liter) will be confiscated, and import duties may apply for items exceeding USD $500 in value. Carry receipts for high-value items.
Use the airports ATMs or money changers for local currency (IDR). While rates at the airport are slightly less favorable, they are safe and convenient for initial needs.
